Polaroid Impressions
These photographs were taken with a vintage SX-70 Polaroid camera. The painterly effect is achieved by hand manipulating the soft color emulsion under the clear mylar film surface before it sets up; originally considered a design flaw in the instant Polaroid film. This effect was created entirely by hand using dental tools. There is no digital work except to correct and saturate the color.
Sadly, they “fixed” the film bearing this quality and it has been unavailable for many years now. These and a few others are all of this work I will ever be able to produce.
